I have now read 1,000 books…and I still have over a year left until Kindergarten. Actually, Mama says I have read well over 1,000 books these past 18 months. If I counted each one more than once, I have probably read over 2,000. Because most of them I read at least twice. Some I read a dozen (which Mama says is twelve) or more! LikeStellaluna. I loved that once so much, we bought a copy for our own bookshelf. OrThe Berenstain Bears go to Camp.I read that one nearly ever day last summer when we spent three weeks at Grandpa and Grandma’s. Mama says it was one of her favorites when she was a kid, too. I also discovered Fancy Nancy, who I like very much. Especially when she lost her first tooth and got poison ivy. You can learn so many things and discover fun adventures when you read.
Of course, we have not stopped reading. We read every day and I am learning to read, too. In a few months, Mama says Ethan will get to start his 1,000 book adventure. I’ll get to read the stories with him. I wonder how many times we’ll read The Little Blue Truck?
