Olivia

Olivia is a pig. She is like me in some ways: has a little brother who gets into her things, is always busy, and enjoys dancing. But I don’t fuss much when it’s time for a nap. And I don’t draw on walls. Mama says if I do that, I would be in very big trouble…and would get more than a “time out”.

Olivia is cute, but she wears people out and does things her own way. It can be good to do things by yourself, but it is also good to listen to your Mama and obey. I am learning that every day. Olivia should learn that, too.

Madeline

Mama says that the new book we read this week is so old my great-grandparents may have read it when they were little children! I'm pretty sure there aren't many books that are that old!

Madeline is about a little girl who goes to school with lots of other little girls who walk everywhere in two straight lines. The pictures are a little funny to me, but I like all the little girls. And I don't know what an appendix is, but I did have a tummy ache this week and Mama says it is near the tummy, so I can imagine it hurts. My tummy ache went away without a scar.

Mama says there are a lot of Madeline books we can read, so we will find them at the library. She says there is one with a puppy dog in it. I think that will be my favorite.

How do Dinosaurs say Goodnight?

I met my first dinosaur this summer. Grandma and Grandpa took me and my cousins to the Indianapolis Children's Museum and there were dinosaurs trying to get into the building. I saw them! They were huge! Ever since then I have really loved dinosaurs.

I love dinosaurs so much that I have read How do Dinosaurs say Goodnight? at least ten times since we brought it home from the library last week. In the end dinosaurs say goodnight the same way I do: they hug their teddy bear, turn out the light and get all cozy and warm under the blankets.

Goodnight!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

I have a very hungry caterpillar. I've had it since I was born. It was one of my favorite toys when I was a baby. It has a bell inside it and it's tail is fun to chew on. He's cute.

This week we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar. It is full of color, and I like to flip through the foods he ate as fast as I can (faster than Mama can read it). I like when he gets vvveeerrry fat. And then...and then...

He turns into a butterfly!!!!!

I Love to Read - Do You?

Hi! I’m Emry.

My mama loves to read…and she loves to read to me! I’m two, and I’ve read lots and lots of books already. My favorites are Biscuit books, Pajama Time! and Katy. I love going to the library and getting more books, which Mama reads to me over and over again. Yea!

Now Mama is going to start keeping a list of all the books we read. We’re also going to keep a list here and blog about one book a week. It will be fun!

I hope you come on my journey with me.
