Bark, George

George is a dog. But he doesn't say "Woof!" like dog. When his mama tells him to bark, he says other sounds: meow, quack, oink, moo!

George's mama takes him to the vet. The vet knows what's wrong. He pulls a cat, and a duck, and a pig, and a cow out of George. Then George says, "Woof!" Just like a dog should. At least, until he goes home...

The Man who Walked Between the Towers

There once were two towers. Really, really big towers. Mama says they're not there anymore...and it was very sad when they came down.

There was once a man who walked on ropes. Which looks really, really hard. When the two big towers were being built, he thought it would be a nice trick to fasten a rope between the two towers and walk on it. So, he did it! It took him and his friends a long time to get the big rope fastened, but then he walked up and down it for a half hour! Mama says that's a long time. And it would be very scary. But he did it. And it was amazing!

Harold and the Purple Crayon

Harold has a crayon. A purple one. And he draws with it. He draws the moon and a path to walk in the moon. He draws an apple tree and lots of pies to eat. He draws a mountain so he can find his bedroom window. He draws lots, and lots, and lots, and lots of windows! But none of them are his bedroom window...until he remember! His window has the moon in it! So, he draws it. And goes to bed.

I like all the things Harold draws with his purple crayon. But I like to paint better.
