Babar is an elephant who lives in a forest. It is very sad
when a bad hunter kills his mama, but he runs away and lives in the city. Where
he wears clothes, and learns to read and drive, and exercises, and drinks tea.
One day his little cousins come and he buys them clothes, too. When their mamas
come looking for them, Babar decides to go back to the forest to visit. When he
gets their, the other elephants decide to make him king because their king had
eaten a bad mushroom, and turned green, and died. Babar becomes king and
marries his cousin Celeste so she becomes the queen. It is a very good book.
